on monday i was supposed to go to the library with justina to do chinese holiday homework. however, she was ill and could not make it. i feel really bad for her. she cant go to her church camp now. oh well. take care, friend! and get well soon.at about 11 a very very very very (you get the idea) old friend called and asked if i would like lunch. since i do like lunch, i agreed to meet atiqah at northpoint. and for the first time ever, i was earlier than the person i was supposed to meet, despite being late. anyway. she hasn't changed a bit! i was quite taken aback, since i firmly believe that secondary school is life-changing. well, it was for me, anyway. i can hardly believe myself when i look back at what i used to be. it was kind of a certain person's fault. okay, back to the point. i was fed up of eating at the food court, and qah wasn't that keen on fast food. so we went to eat at that restaurant next to sakae sushi. while there, we argued whether the restaurant was thai or indonesian. it looks indonesian okay! and my whole family calls it "the indonesian restaurant". so what if it is written there "thai restaurant"? a rose by any other name would still smell as sweet, right? i'm not sure if that made sense but the point is, just because they call it thai doesn't make it thai! yes, anyway, we went to eat, and caught up on each other's lives. after eating we went to hold true to the tradition of taking neoprint. after the ridiculous shoot came my favourite part of it all, the vandalism. at one point of time someone's face was accidentally coloured, and we couldn't find the eraser, since it was all in japanese. at least, i think it was japanese. so to cover up i drew a smiley face on top of it. but fortunately, we found the eraser in the end. i do not draw very good smiley faces. then after that i had to rush home for piano lesson. because i was very late, i had to run, and running in heels is no fun. so i took off my shoes once in my estate, and continued running. it was fun to see the perplexed faces of the passers-by. in the end, i made it just in time for piano, although the piano teacher was already at my house. at night my family had pizza and we watched men in black (the first one). i think the first one is better than the 2nd. however, i had forgotten about "House", which was to show on axn at 10, and missed it totally. i am still quite pissed for missing it, i did really want to see what was going to become of that stuck-up policeman. pride will always lead to your downfall, but it was amusing to watch 2 arrogant, stuck-up people clash and see the stunts they pull to get each other back. for example, in the beginning, tritter, the policeman, went to the doctor for a check up, and was unfortunately examined by house, the doctor. because house was not very nice to him, tritter tripped him. house was using a walking stick due to his leg problem, and thus he did not take this in his stride. because tritter was chewing gum, house said he could not take his temperature using the conventional thermometer-in-mouth method, because the gum would mess up the temperature, and thus, it would be inaccurate. so house told tritter that he would have to take his temperature the other way up, ie, the, uh, rectum. this was when house's revenge came to play. after sticking the thermometer there, he told tritter not to move, or he would break the thermometer and he would have to pay. then house just left him there, and went home early. tritter did not like it in the least that he was left there, pants down with a thermometer, so he took revenge as well. when house was going home, he was pulled over by tritter, who turned out to be a policeman. tritter found drugs on him (house was a doctor, so this was supposedly normal.), and despite knowing the reason for the drugs, he put house under arrest for suspicion of drug-trafficking. okay i shall not go on. you would have to watch it yourself if you are interested at all. anyway. on tuesday i was doing chinese tuition homework in the morning, and then at about lunch time i recieved word that the wongs were back! yeah! they were in new zealand. and now they're all so black. the 2 mothers arranged for my sister and i to go over to their house. however, once we arrived , aunt shirlie told us we had to go back to yishun to pick up my brother, who everyone had conveniently forgotten about. fortunately, uncle soong was nice enough to volunteer to drive us there and back. after picking theo up, we went back to their house. by this time, jon had come back from his scout thing. i went to borrow 2 of his books and went to read. but i was not being anti-social, because jon was reading too, and i sat next to him to read, which counts, right? anyway, after that, the 2 families united at a nearby food court. after eating we went to see fred claus. i admit that it was kind of good, but the other santa claus show that was showing quite a while ago was better. i cant remember the title, though. by this time it was time to go home for the night. From your smile i drew my strength. Now that it's gone... / 11:27 AM · |
