hey. (needless to say, this greeting is extended towards all but weiyi. it is against my ethics to greet bimbos.)

ok.. back to sunday. sunday, as i expected, the ppt was terrible. i really didnt like it. but anyway. other than that, all else went pretty smooth.

then the next 2 days were spent at prefects' camp. it was fine. but i am SOOO tired. the camp theme was "finding nemo" and i was in "crush" in terms of grouping. in case you dont know, like the rest of my group didnt, crush is that "cool" turtle dude. the other ppl in my group were:

-ting hui
-carmen
-claire
-sarah (salad)
-iman

monday:
beginning of prefects' camp. i woke up late because i set my alarm but didnt turn it on. stupid. obviously i had to rush, and this resulted in my forgetting to bring my slippers, which were by the door. after we signed up, we had icebreakers.

the first game was reasonably fine. we had to get into our groups and line up, but make sure we were spaced out enough such that we covered the vertical length of the netball court. then the first person would be given a pocky stick and she had to run to the next person, carrying the stick in her mouth. she would then pass on the stick to the next person, who again had to carry the stick in her mouth. but before you pass on the stick, you have to take a bite out of it. then this person would then pass on to the next in the same fashion, until it reaches the last person. unfortunately, i was the 2nd last person. which means the pocky stick would have been bitten 3 times by 3 different people by the time it reached me. which is sick. but anyway. what my group didnt know was that the last person is only supposed to take a small bite out of the pocky stick and hold it in her hand. the last person in my group, iman, just ate the whole thing. fortunately, we werent disqualified or anything. towards the end when time was running out, tinghui was rushing alot, so she accidentally poked me hard with the pocky stick. since i am a nice person(and totally not bimbotic like weiyi), i didnt take revenge(like i will do with weiyi). if i remember correctly, we clinched 2nd place, along with 2 other groups, with 11 pocky sticks successfully transported. but my view of pocky sticks will never be the same again.

after that nothing much.. worship and opening address.. oh yea i really like our theme somg, "who am i". i'll put it up and the bottom of the post. anyway. we met our trainers and i really think the sec1 trainer is cool okay.. why does everyone think otherwise??

then the training itself. which was ok. then tea. then more training. then lunch, which could have been better. it was bee hoon with chicken. then goal setting, where we set our goals for the year. then after that "trust activities". the first game went like this:

you use the extra t-shirt they make you bring as a blindfold.
blindfold yourself.
the camp commitee will form a human barrier at the other end of the basketball court.
you then have to run blindfolded towards them, trusting that they will tell you when to stop and catch you if you dont.
the barrier will move according to whether you run straight or not.

some people trusted them completely and just ran, while a good number of people would run and hestitate, then run some more. i just ran blindly towards them. i seem to be doing alot of blind running lately, and not just literally. i am going to stop.

anyway, the next game was the typical one. you cross your hands over your chest, stand between 2 people which you have chosen to trust, and fall backward/forward. then the person you are falling towards will catch you and push you, and you fall in the opposite direction. i grouped with jeanne and sabina, and the frst person to do the falling was sab. i stood in front of her, as it is easier. then after a while we changed and it was jeanne who was doing the falling. i think sab dropped her or something so we swopped again. but i didnt know who to put behind (thats where most of the weight ends up) because sab dropped jeanne so i dont trust her, and i just dont trust jeanne in general. but it ended up with jeanne behind because if she drops me i have to whole of next year to make it up to her, being in the same class and all. then kat came to take pictures and i was shouting because i still didnt trust jeanne and kat kept saying that i must stop and when i told her the reason jeanne laughed and dropped me. so that was that. then after that the game sort of ended so the groups broke up and we all just walked around. jeanne wanted to play again and this time it was sab and jessica, if i'm not wrong who supported her. then somebody else came to take photographs and sab didnt want her picture to be taken so she just walked away and left jeanne to fall. haha. serves the evil girl right!

then after that more wierd games. i dont want to go on anymore about them, so i wont describe them in great detail.

game #3: we split up into our levels, and formed a long line. a leader is selected and stnad in front. the rest have to be blindfolded again. then everyone but the leader puts their hands on the shoulders of the person in front of them. then the leader leads them through an obstacle course. ever gone up a staircase blindfolded?

game #4: it was a stupid game and i still dont know the rules.

game #5: human tic-tac-toe in a 5 by 5 grid.

game #6: a string is held up by 2 people at shoulder height. the group stands on one side of the string. the group then has to get everybody OVER the string without touching it. everybody else goes to the gym and lifts weights, but prefects lift people.

game #7: you are given 2 poles. 3 members are blindfolded. you have to carry them across the netball court using nothing but the poles.

yea that was about it. but i think the order is mixed up... i'm not sure.

after that more training, then tea again, then more training. then you are allowed to go and bathe. i hate camp baths. what's more, as i said, i forgot to bring slippers, so i had to bathe barefoot. in the toilet. it is SICK!

then dinner, which was really good. then night games. it was more of a treasure hunt, literally "finding nemo". my group was pretty fast with the 1st 3 stations, then finding the 4th station was a real obstacle, which we never did manage to overcome. do you know how eerie the school is at 10pm? anyway.. when we were walking past the 1st floor lockers i heard a piano playing, and i thought it was from the music room or whatever. then i heard a handphone vibrating and i kept turning around but i didnt see anything. so it was pretty scary, hearing a handphone ring when all around you it is reasonably dark, and there is no one else. later on, after the hunt ended at 10.30, we discovered that that was the 4th station - the ringing handphone. so annoying. walked right past it more than once.

after that, being hardworking prefects, we had commitee meeting. at 10.30pm. i was dead by this time, as i had been walking and running around the whole day. but anyway. i am in discipline commitee. with jeanne! and bernice! and sarah! yea anyway. we had a long agenda, which we didnt manage to cover. we had to end because it was already 11.45pm. next year i will be in charge of the sec1 bookings, along with a prefect trainee. it is going to be such fun, chasing after booking cards.

then worship (which were lead by graduated seniors, who came back just for us.) and devotions until 12.15 or so... then we were finally let off to go and sleep. we slept in the primary school hall, without aircon, which i still dont know why they didnt turn on, and i slept between jeanne and claire. i am amazed i didnt move much during the course of the night. in fact, i remained in the same position, on my shoulder, until about 6am, when i woke up because my shoulder was aching, because i slept on it the whole night. so i woke up and changed position, accidentally kicking claire in the process. i now slept on my other side, until 6.25 when claire woke me up to get ready. (now both my shoulders ached, and are still aching.) i had asked her the before we slept to wake me up at 6.45, but i wasnt about to put up a fuss. instead i woke jeanne up. haha. i thought that we had to be ready by 7, but actually it was wake up at 7, be ready by 7.30. so i got up a full half-hour for nothing. (by the way, i was ready by 7, and really just sat there and stoned until 7.25.)

i cant type anymore, because i am still really tired. plus i have tuition homework that has been left incomplete. i'll type what happened today some other time.

the song, who am i:

a shoulder to lean on.
